A series of posts part two

Timothy is my hero. On Sunday we had a special "back to school" Family Home Evening complete with Father's blessings and homemade strawberry milkshakes.

But to make it even more special, Timothy created the game, "Can You Do It?" Notice the playing board. He made it on excel and then wrapped it in wrapping tape to make it nice and sturdy.

As you can guess, the game consists of picking a card and seeing if you can do the item listed. If you can, you can roll and move. If you can't, you stay put. The challenge spaces require you to challenge someone to a contest. Whoever wins gets to roll twice.

Here is Cowen doing ten sit-ups without stopping. He did pretty well on that one, but his very next turn he got 7 sit-ups without stopping, and that was a lot tougher on those 3 yr old abs.

Here's Miriam's "challenge" game of tic-tac-toe. I won.

Miriam hopping on one foot four times without stopping. If you click on this picture to make it big, Emeline's face will scare you. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Timothy trying to add five plus two. Some cards were more challenging than others.

When Miriam got the card "do a front-flip onto the poof" things degenerated. Only Cowen can do it (Tim wrote the card with Cowen in mind), but the kids had a lot of fun showing their poof-jumping prowess. I got them into pajamas throughout the jumping.

The boy is a LUNATIC when it comes to the poof. Absolutely no fear. If you have a boy, you need a poof.

TIMBER!

Emeline is pretty daring as well. She climbs onto the couch and falls forward--doing a nice face-plant each time.

And after the kids were in bed--my hubby continued to play with the poof and camera. Yeah, I love when I get proof of how strange he is.

His mouth is about ten times the size of mine. Makes for some strange faces.

Way to be stoic, my darling.
