About stockings

Polly--this is for you. I saw the plain velvet looking stockings at Michael's the year we had Miriam and they were only three dollars apiece and LOVED the color (I'm a pretty traditional red/green Christmas decorator), so I bought twelve. I figured--I might have ten children, best to be prepared. (Ha, I say now. HA and double HA HA! I really dislike being pregnant.)

Then I trimmed them with whatever I found that I liked. I think it is so fun to look at stockings because they demonstrate a person's personality so well. Kami's are elaborate and beautiful, Megan's are the ultimate in country charm, Lindsay Ann's are yellow and pink and blue and totally fun, Kayli's are hand-knitted and awesome (um, hand-knitted by her friend). I recognize that mine are about as basic as they come--but I love them. That's the fun thing about stockings.
