We ran a gazillion errands today and went to a WIC appointment and sent in a bunch of stuff for medicaid. What a hassle and stress--but hopefully it will be better than starving and paying for the baby for the next twenty years. It took us a year to pay off the molar pregnancy--and that was outpatient surgery in the surgical center instead of the hospital.
Anyway, long day. But the point of the story was that all the kids were using the bathroom and washing their hands in the hospital after I picked up a verification of pregnancy form. There was a really nice lady in there with a strong Southern accent who chatted with Miriam while they washed their hands. After the lady left Miriam said, "Even if she didn't know how to talk, she was nice." Ha ha.
Have you ever noticed that certain main meals always get served with the same side items? For example, I made dad's casserole the other night and tried to force myself to serve peas with it, instead of corn, but I just couldn't do it. For some reason--dad's casserole is served with corn and a green salad at this house. No ifs, ands, or peas.
Weird.

LOL! Your daughter's comments crack me up! What a sweetheart.
And....I completely forgot about how expensive it is to have a baby in the States! YIKES! It's amazing how many people do have...... considering. I had a friend once sell their only vehicle for $5,000.00 just to pay for one of their 5 girls. You American mom's should really stress to your kids how much they are worth! : D Just kidding of course. Hope all that hassle is over soon and you can just relax and enjoy your baby who is more valuable than all the diamonds in the world!
That is so funny because just the other night we had chicken & rice casserole and J. said, "You always serve green beans with this meal" and in my head popped the idea of having corn (or other veggie) and I just couldn't make it fit right in my mind. Funny!
