Eli's Eye

Today I took Eli in for his eye appointment with the opthalmologist (sp). The pediatrician noticed a black spot on his retina the last two well-child visits so he wanted me to have it checked out. Fortunately, the eye man saw nothing and said really great things like "normal" and "not defective." In short--Eli's eyes are fine.

The eye man and his assistant were pretty impressed with Eli. They explained that most babies his age (two months now) have to have their eyes propped open and scream the whole time. I don't blame them. I hate having my eyes dilated. However, my little man made a few unhappy faces and kept his eyes open well enough that he didn't have to have them propped. Eli is definitely one of my babies--about as easy-going as they come.

So glad that everything is okay! :) Gracie has to go to an opthalmologist as well because at her last follow up appointment with her neurologist the doctor noticed that she turns her head to the right to look in that direction rather than keeping her head static and just moving her eyes. They are making us an appointment, so I will keep you updated if you care to know. Thanks for the comment on my blog! I added more details and pictures, so let me know what you think! :) Do you have any pictures of your turquoise wall yet?

oh my goodness gracious. Andrea! I am EVER SO GLAD that you found me. I'm going to have to read this blog for the next 27 hours so I'll know what you've been up to. Afterall, it's been 9 years or so. Oh I love you. Or do I say te quiero? God bless that Kristin Randle for her role in this reunion.
