Funniest Part of My Day

A few days ago I taught the children how to throw up a peace sign or the ever-popular "I love you" sign. We practiced a little and then I forgot all about it. Tonight at the supper table Miriam was practicing the peace sign again and Emeline and Cowen joined in. Apparently the peace sign got boring because then Miriam held up one finger and said, "This means family." Then she held up three fingers and said it meant something. Something nice and neutral and short. Something meant smile and something else meant friend. I don't remember them all.

Then Cowen held up two fingers pointed to the side and said, "This means you should fall into a pit."

If I ever flash my two fingers at you, you know what I'm meanin'. Go find yourself a pit.
