A Recent Conversation

We were all gathered for breakfast when Cowen made a startling array of bizarre sounds, as only boys can do.

Miriam eyed him in wonder and asked, "Who gave you all those sounds? I know, the Sound Fairy!"

Cowen replied, "The Sound Fairy gave me all my sounds."

To which Miriam exclaimed, "Oh my, what astonishment!"

As a sidenote--I just finished the first Fablehaven. Didn't do much for me. I read it because my niece and nephew have been inhaling it. I thought the adults were overly foolish and Seth overly stupid and Kendra overly timid.
