The Children's Place is having a HUGE sale at their online site. I just got everything for all my kids for next summer (here's hoping I guessed sizes right) and the most expensive item was a skirt for Miriam--$9.00. Most of the items were between $3 and $5 bucks. Wow, I feel like Amy. Only, she wouldn't have spent over $0.99 per item. How does she do it???
Still--I'm excited. I also found Miriam and Emeline cheap butterfly shirts to go with the Fancy Nancy Explorer Extraordinaire book for when we study insects in school. How's that for adding excitement to the school day?! I'm also getting Cowen the new DK insect book that's coming out the end of this month because it looks awesome (obviously--it's DK) and I'm trying to find him a shirt with a bug on it. If you happen to see one . . . let me know. And no, I don't usually buy my kids shirts and books for school. However, I felt like it with the insect unit.
On an entirely different subject, I have to recommend Lime-Away professional strength toilet bowl cleaner. I have a downstairs bathroom. Most people who visit don't realize this because I've used it as a storage room and kept it locked ever since we moved in. I didn't want to clean two bathrooms. But now, happiness and joy, Kami and children are coming to visit on Monday and I thought I should clean it out for her so she could have her own bathroom while she was here.
Did you all know that if you ignore a bathroom for two years that mold will overtake your toilet bowl? I didn't. I thought it was always going to look rusted/green/black and slimy. But then I bought several cleaners (one, The Works, that Amy recommended I couldn't find--she swears by it) and soaked the toilet in them for several hours and voila--most of the mold disappeared. But not the rusty green stuff. Then I put in Lime-Away. 15 minutes later and my toilet looks brand-new. Yeah!!!
So Kami, you can rest easy. The bathroom has been cleaned and recleaned, and then cleaned again using about six different cleaners and my does it sparkle! (As much as a bathroom with unpainted walls and peeling dry wall can sparkle.)
