Today started at 12:00 am when I was still up reading. I was still up reading a few hours after that. And you know what--it's exactly what I needed, a healthy dose of pleasure reading. If you haven't read Tisha yet, get on that. I'd like to point out that Kami was up reading almost as long as me (if you haven't read The King of Attolia yet, I'm not sure we can still be friends) and she's preggo and sickly. (That makes her error in judgement greater than mine even though she went to bed an hour earlier.)
When we arose this morning about 7:30 it was breakfast for the crew and then I took off to run some errands and Lindsay Ann arrived after I'd left. When I got back it was time for lunch then kicking the kids outside to play in the sprinklers while Kami and Lindsay Ann made carnival posters for me for the reunion. WHY CAN'T I POST PICTURES AT THIS CRITICAL TIME???!!! I can't wait to show you what those two artsy kids came up with. This reunion is going to be awesome!
We cleaned up the paints for supper which was attended by all the usual crowd plus Wyatt and little Lindsay. Lindsay managed to duck in for exactly 25 minutes between work and a date. She has the temerity to be mad at us for planning fun things that she can't attend but she's going on two dates this week. Hmm.
After dinner Lindsay Ann did dishes (how I missed her when she was in Oklahoma) while Kami and I put our children to bed--Wyatt took his kids home so Lindsay Ann could stay. I tried to paint for approximately 30 seconds then volunteered to get Leo (Kami's Columbian hubby) from the airport so that Kami could stay and continue painting. We all have our talents. Painting carnival signs is not one of mine. Don't think I'm overworking her. When I told her I'd go get Leo so she could keep painting she said, "This is the happiest day of my life!" No lie. Then she clapped and said, "This is so much fun." Sorry Leo, but the truth had to be told.
Lindsay Ann just went home with the three unfinished posters and Kami is currently at the table with Leo working on a felt top hat for Timothy's karaoke contest costume (he's going to be amazing and we are taking home the trophy this year!!! I don't care what smack talkin' Derek's been doing) and I'm avoiding going to bed. Waking up the second morning after pulling a late-night read-a-thon is always brutal.
But, tomorrow is another day with many children in it. So off to bed I go.

I know I will regret it but yet I keep staying up until the middle of the night reading- and I can't stop. It is an addiction and with both of those books it would have been against the laws of the universe to stop reading.
What??!! Did I miss something somewhere? Did you say Kami is preggo?
I stayed up way too late reading the other night too. But there was no Brett home to make me go to bed. :(
It sounds like so much fun you guys are having. I would not have been any help on the posters, but I might have made bon bons to share.
Too bad we brought home that trophy, I guess it wasn't just smack talk after all!! HEE HEE
