We had our first practice in the conference center. I was totally pretending to be one of the MoTabs (Mormon Tabernacle Choir members for those of you who aren't LDS and call them by their proper name). I am in the very back seat on the soprano side as I'm the tallest soprano. It's really close to the organ, so the organ is pretty much all I can hear, but the view is awesome.
It was truly amazing to be there in the "choir loft." That's what they called it, I promise. It's also fun to find out all the security measures they take to protect the prophet. Good thing. We love him. And good thing there's nothing too iffy in my past that would prevent me from singing. Strange red-headed immigrants are okay. Alright!
You can see a picture of the choir loft and organ pipes here.

Ooo. Good to know the general direction of where you will be standing. Now I hope the camera man gets you on camera, or at the very least, that we will be sitting up nice and close in the session you will be singing at. We will be there on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Which session are you singing in??
i am jealous. when should we look for you?
Sweet!!! How did you score that gig??? I'll be watching!
