Go HERE to see the quilt pattern I want to make for Little Boy Blue. Except I want every other block to be a solid piece. The main fabric would be this one:
So obviously the color scheme would be mainly orange with green as the main secondary and turquoise the other secondary.
The problems are so many though.
1) I'm a terrible sewer.
2) I'm way too busy to put a quilt together.
3) I stink at math.
4) The quilt pattern would have to be cut down to baby size and the amounts of fabric I need reconfigured.
5) I don't have any other fabric that I really love to go along with it. Mostly I thought I would do solid colors or something like this:
The whole quilt just isn't coming together in my head. I love the double border. I love the bold colors of the lion heads. I love the idea of making Little Boy Blue a special quilt.
But . . . maybe somebody can find me a gorgeous fabric that I can just have machine quilted as one piece and then have my mom bind for me? I've been looking and haven't found anything I like. :(
What is it about being pregnant that makes me spend far too much time looking at fabric websites?? I hate sewing! I have to constantly remind myself of this very important fact.
But those lions are cute.

Did mom tell you about the AWESOME material we found for your receiving blanket??? And for Kayli's??? And that we found TRAINS (what Sterling wanted) for mine???? I don't know why pregnancy makes you want to do difficult things, it doesn't do that to me.
