Eli really enjoys watercolor pencils. So do all of my children, as a matter of fact. That's another worthwhile art investment. Also, they love their fancy watercolor paper. I don't mind buying that for them either--except for Emeline who goes through about 40 trees a day and that gets expensive with even the cheapest paper.
This is my favorite piece Eli has ever done. I thought it was a smiley face but Eli informed me that the proper title is: Slugs. I'm so in love with it.
This last picture is to show you how I showcase the kids' art. We bought the wire and hangers at IKEA and strung them up in the dining room. I don't like having them in the dining room because it feels cluttered in there all the time and adding to that makes me a little insane. On the flip side, there is really nowhere else to put them and I think it is important for my kids to have a spot to see their work. Despite the logistics problems, I love the system itself. Thanks Ikea, for your $10 solutions to life's little quandaries.
