Eli Had a Birthday (Way Back in December)

My darling Eli turned five way back on December 8, 2013.  I didn't post about it because I was too concerned about not having posted the family reunion and being behind, etc. etc.  Timothy said to let the reunion go and move forward.  Thus, my belief in my ability to catch up my blog, sans reunion, has been renewed.

Besides, I needed to post this cake.  One of my favorites actually, because, well, it is a buffalo.

 And that is a Man on a Buffalo.  Hee hee. If you have no idea what I'm talking about then for heaven's sake, go to youtube and watch the Man on a Buffalo videos.  I'm pretty sure those videos are why Eli picked a buffalo cake.

I asked Eli about his favorite things and here are his responses:

Favorite color: dark blue, dark red, and dark green

Favorite food: waffles (that surprised me, we almost never have them), ice cream

Favorite fun things to do: go to the zoo, play

Favorite toy: Imaginext

Favorite school subject: art (the boy colors/draws for hours every day)

My favorite thing about Eli is his raspy "I've been smoking for 50 years" voice.  It is utterly charming.  I also love his big blue eyes and how sweet he is to all children smaller than himself.  I love his fabulous artwork and his sense of humor.  I love everything about my Eli!!!  So glad you're in the family, Little Man!
