I was annoyed tonight at the disheveled nature of the entire house so I sent all the children downstairs to tidy before allowing them to go to YW and pack meeting with Timothy. Harriet bounced up the stairs after a little while and Timothy said, "Is everything tidy downstairs?"
Harriet responded, very exuberantly, "Clean as a whistle!"
Timothy said, "Clean as a whistle! Let's go see."
He took her hand and started going downstairs. After a few seconds she said, in a much less exuberant voice, "Well, it's not quite a whistle."
