Thought I would post this picture, in case anyone was wondering if Cowen had a good time on his birthday.
Cowen got a bunch of stuff for the toy kitchen the kids got for Christmas. I am sure he would have liked a sword better--but kitchen stuff is more, ahem, practical as it amuses more children for a longer duration. Sorry buddy, you know I love you, despite getting spoons for your birthday.

We did get Cowen another horse for his collection and the movie Spirit. It is the first time we've given a movie as a present and it felt a little weird. What?! No book and a MOVIE?! So . . . degenerate. :) But, we sure had a great time eating popcorn and watching Spirit together. So, all in all, a lovely day.
