Cowboy Cowen`

Lately, Cowen has decided to model his behavior on what cowboys do. This isn't really new. He obsessively tucks his shirt in because that's what Grandpa Rasmussen does and Grandpa Rasmussen is a cowboy. He also tucks his pants into his boots because that's what Grandpa Rasmussen does (he's seen Dad put on his boots fast to go feed the horses a few too many times).

But now he says things like, "I won't pick in, Mom. Cowboys don't pick in." Uh, okay.

So far--"cowboys" seem to have a pretty good sense of right and wrong. I hope that continues. Because one way or the other--Cowen will be doing what cowboys do.

Every time Cowen says, "because Cowboys . . . fill in the blank" this song starts running through my head.
