Lady Harriet is 19 months old

Timothy took the pictures one morning when I dumped Harriet on the bed with him.  A few things about our baby (she doesn't become a toddler until Little Boy Blue is here because I say so):

1) she loves to be outside.  I usually put her shoes on and keep the back door open so she can come and go at will.  Yesterday she almost fell asleep outside, chomping on a carrot taken from the garden, laying on the grass.  Happy as a clam.

2) she loves Eli.  Adores him.  They chase each other around the house with her giggling madly the whole time.  Eli frequently refers to Harriet as "my best friend."  So sweet.

3) she loves to talk.  So far she can say hi, Mom, Dad, baby, eye, diaper, apple, and Sweet Pea (the adorable little doll she's had since last Christmas that she loves).  I am not a huge fan of changing diapers but I am a huge fan of when Harriet finds me and says, "Diaper bleh."  So cute.  I also love it when I say, "Harriet, time for a nap," and Harriet says, "Sweet Pea!"  We always know when Timothy gets home from work from Harriet's ecstatic, "Dad, dad, dad, dad, dad!!!"

4) she is not meek.  I was sitting on the couch one day, watching the kids play.  Eli was trying to take something away from Harriet so she was trying to hide it underneath of her against the couch.  Eli finally got it and Harriet turned and jumped him.  I kid you not, she was ferocious with this intent angry look on her face.  She tackled him (first time I've seen an 18 month old take out a 3 year old) and then bit his arm.  Eli laughed (I guess her biting skills still need work) and gave her back whatever it was and peace was restored.  Holy cow, though, she was fierce.

Harriet is the kind of baby that makes you want oodles more babies.
